Bill Loden earned a BS degree in Construction Engineering Technology from the Mississippi State University Civil Engineering Department in 1983.
Bill Loden brings broad technical knowledge and experience to his inspection business. Bill started his professional career as a field engineer in the petroleum industry where he worked in the ultra deep natural gas wells in Western Oklahoma and offshore in the Gulf of Mexico. Bill performed reservoir and production analysis services by evaluating down hole conditions on gas wells using Non Destructive Evaluation techniques. Later, after settling in Huntsville, Alabama Bill worked as a project manager in commercial and industrial construction managing construction of many buildings in Huntsville and Madison.
Bill's career took a sudden turn when he had the opportunity to join the nation's space shuttle program in Safety, Reliability and Quality Assurance (SR&QA) after the Challenger accident. Bill has worked in SR&QA, inspecting and assessing space shuttle propulsion systems. One of the highlights of Bill's NASA career was being named a recipient of the Astronaut Corps prestigious "Silver Snoopy" award for his contributions to the Space Shuttle’s flight safety and mission success.
Inspection:
- Performed thousands of building and home inspections beginning in 1987.
- Has served as an expert witness and has provided court testimony regarding construction defects.
- Has performed numerous water intrusion and construction defects investigations.
- Was selected by the Examination Board of Professional Home Inspectors (EBPHI) to serve as an expert in the definition and development of the National Home Inspector Examination, an examination used by 20 states to establish home inspector competence.
- Investigated and identified building moisture problems that threatened the production of an International Space Station Module at Marshall Space Flight Center.

Petroleum:
