Before starting his inspection career in 1992, Charlie Wood was a carpenter,
remodeler, and student of construction for 15 years.
In 1992, Charlie created what is now commonly known as "one year warranty"
inspections, an inspection and report that helped owners of new houses get
what they were paying for.
In 1995, he wrote the "Standards of Inspection for New Homes,"
which was adopted by the Georgia Association of Home Inspectors (GAHI).
In 1996, he was the first inspector in Atlanta to offer comprehensive moisture
testing of synthetic stucco cladding.
From 1997 until 2000, Charlie had a small private practice specializing in
construction dispute litigation. He has served as an expert in over 100 cases.
In 2000, Charlie closed his private practice and joined Inspectech. He was employed by Inspectech Inc., a service of Landamerica, as VP - Inspection
Services through 2007.
Then Charlie moved his life to the more relaxed Puerto Vallarta where he developed a successful business inspecting local properties for investors.
